Lambertsbay to Lutzville
After breakfast we start our day by shifting our vehicles into 4×4 mode to take on the Dunes 4WD Trail (4X4 Trail Included). These sandy dunes provide a fantastic introduction to driving in thick sand, with our experienced guide, Alan to assist. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, his knowledge is invaluable, and you’ll pick up useful tips for sand driving and general 4W-Driving.
After our dune experience, we continue north to Strandfontein, where we enjoy a late lunch in the Kommetjie restaurant also situated right on the beach.
DAY 3
Lutzville To Hondeklip Baai
After a full breakfast, (Included) we set off further north along the West-Coast toward our next destination, Hondeklip Baai. Today’s route takes us over long, sandy tracks that offer incredible coastal views and a true sense of the rugged beauty of the Namakwa West Coast National Park.
The sandy tracks require a bit of manoeuvring, making the drive challenging but deeply rewarding as you soak up the untamed landscape. (Lunch Packs Included)
DAY 4
Hondeklip Baai To HoutHoop
Our adventure kicks off from Hondeklipbaai after breakfast, where we leave the rugged coastline behind and head inland through the Wildeperdekloof Pass—a remote and scenic route with breathtaking rock formations.
Navigating along historic two-wheel tracks, we make our way towards Kommagas, an old mission village, before tackling the winding Buffels River bed, offering a mix of sandy tracks and rocky terrain.
DAY 5
Houthoop To Nigramoep
After enjoying a hearty breakfast at Houthoop Guest Farm (included), we set off on the next leg of our journey, continuing north along the coastline to explore the historic diamond-mining towns of Kleinzee and Port Nolloth. These quiet, windswept towns hold tales of bygone diamond rushes and offer stunning Atlantic Ocean views.
Leaving the coastline behind, we venture inland toward the renowned Nigramoep Slow Living Guest Farm…
DAY 6
Nigrameop to Richtersvled & Okiep Country Hotel
Following a breakfast at Nigramoep, we embark on a Richtersveld 4×4 excursion, an unforgettable journey into the arid but breath-taking Richtersveld landscape. Our first stop is Eksteensfontein, a Nama community established during the apartheid era as part of a resettlement program. This small town holds a significant cultural history, providing a glimpse into the resilience and heritage of the Nama people.
DAY 7
Departure Okiep Country Hotel
