DAY 1
Okiep to Tierhoek
Our adventure starts with an important tour briefing at 8:00 AM, followed by our 9:00 AM departure from the Okiep Country Hotel. Please ensure you arrange your pre-departure accommodation with our admin team prior to arrival.
We make our way towards Vioolsdrif, passing through the rugged and scenic Hells Pass before continuing to Eksteensfontein. From there, we journey to Bakkranse, taking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way. Our first night is spent camping at Tierhoek, surrounded by the beauty of the Richtersveld.
DAY 2
Tierhoek to De Hoop
Our day begins with a hearty breakfast at Tierhoek before we pack up and set off towards Kuboes, a small but vibrant Nama community known for its rich cultural heritage and deep ties to the Richtersveld landscape.
This remote town offers a glimpse into the traditions of the Nama people, who have lived in harmony with this rugged terrain for generations.
DAY 3
De hoop to Kokerboom Kloof
After breakfast, we take our time exploring the wonders of the Richtersveld Transfrontier Park, a rugged and remote landscape filled with dramatic rock formations, towering mountains, and ancient quiver trees.
This region is home to unique desert-adapted flora and fauna, offering incredible photo opportunities and a deep sense of isolation in one of South Africa’s last true wilderness areas.
DAY 4
Kokerboom Kloof to Richtersveld Berg
On Day 4, we continue our journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Richtersveld Transfrontier Park, taking in the ever-changing scenery of rugged mountains, deep canyons, and vast desert plains. The day is filled with exploration as we traverse remote 4×4 trails, stopping to admire the striking rock formations and unique plant life that make this region so extraordinary.
DAY 5
Richtersveld Berg to Okiep Country Hotel
On our final day, after a hearty breakfast, we break camp and begin our journey towards Alexander Bay. Our route takes us through the breathtaking Hells Kloof Pass, a dramatic and rugged entryway into the Richtersveld Transfrontier Park, offering one last taste of the region’s untamed beauty.
From Alexander Bay, we travel south along the coastal route towards Port Nolloth, where we make a brief stop to take in the seaside charm of this quiet coastal town. From there, we continue inland, making our way back to the Okiep Country Hotel, where our adventure concludes.
