This seven-day West Coast and Namaqualand flower tour combines guided 4x4 self-drive travel with supported fat-tyre eBike riding during South Africa's spectacular flower season.

The route begins in Paternoster and travels via Lambertsbaai, Lutzville, Hondeklipbaai, Nigramoep, Schaaprivier Canyon, Concordia and Okiep, with coastal gravel roads, remote flower landscapes, local food experiences and comfortable overnight stays along the way.

Meet in Paternoster for coffee, introductions and the start of the tour before travelling by 4x4 along the West Coast to Muisbosskerm for a traditional seafood lunch. Later, enjoy a sunset dunes experience with cheese and wine before settling into Grootvlei Guesthouse.

Day 2Lambertsbaai to LutzvilleRailway tracks, Fryers Cove and Joetsie Lodge

Begin with a short 4x4 transfer before riding scenic coastal and railway gravel tracks toward Doringbaai. After lunch at Fryers Cove and a battery recharge, continue by 4x4 and eBike along coastal gravel routes before transferring to Joetsie Lodge.

Day 3Namaqua Coast to HondeklipbaaiNamaqua National Park and Groenrivier Lighthouse

Travel north into the remote Namaqua National Park region. Ride toward Groenrivier Lighthouse through a challenging mix of gravel and sandy sections, recharge over lunch, then continue by 4x4 via Garies to Hondeklipbaai for dinner at Rooispinnekop.

Day 4Hondeklipbaai to NigramoepSoebatsfontein, flower fields and canyon base camp

Head inland through colourful Namaqualand landscapes. Ride from Hondeklipbaai to Soebatsfontein, enjoy a picnic lunch, then continue by 4x4 through remote scenery toward Nigramoep and the Schaaprivier Canyon Base Camp.

Day 5Canyon ExplorationeBike riding, scenic 4x4 and optional walking

Enjoy a slower canyon day with guided eBike riding, scenic 4x4 exploration and optional walking. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are enjoyed in the canyon setting, with time to take in the silence, scenery and wildlife.

The final riding day follows scenic inland gravel routes via Concordia toward Okiep. The riding is described as easy to moderate, with open landscapes, flower-season scenery and time to enjoy the last views before arriving at Okiep Country Hotel.
