DAY 1

Kickoff from Khamkirri to Augrabies & Riemvasmaak

Our adventure begins bright and early at 8 AM at Khamkirri Resort, just outside Kakamas. After a warm meet & greet and a quick safety briefing, we fire up our 4x4s and hit the rugged trails.

Our first stop? Riemvasmaak, where we take on dusty tracks leading to breathtaking desert landscapes and the legendary hot springs, a true oasis in the arid terrain. After soaking in the beauty of this remote gem, we continue our journey to the Augrabies Falls, witnessing the sheer power of the Orange River plunging into the gorge below. Later we enjoy lunch at the Augrabies Falls Restaurant and then weré off to Die Mas for a wine tasting and much later we enjoy a River Raft on the Orange River and a delishious dinner at the Khamkirri Restaurant to round off a fantastic day.

DAY 2

Journey into the Kalahari & Camel Encounters

After breakfast, we journey to the Kgalagadi Lifestyle Lodge via the scenic Noenieput back roads, cutting through the heart of the Kalahari. Along the way, we traverse striking red dunes and soak in the breathtaking Kalahari sandscapes that stretch endlessly in every direction.

A highlight of the day includes a visit to Koppies Kraal Camel Milking Farm, where we enjoy an insightful talk about the health benefits of camel milk—particularly its positive impact on children with Down syndrome. We also stop at the fascinating remains of the Lost City, made famous by the legendary explorer, the Great Firinni.

DAY 3

Exploring the Wild Heart of the Kgalagadi

We fuel up with an early breakfast before setting off on an unforgettable safari into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. This vast wilderness, home to some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife, is known for its red dunes, open grasslands, and incredible predator sightings.

Our route takes us northwest towards Mata-Mata, following the dry riverbeds where springbok, gemsbok, blue wildebeest, and majestic Kalahari lions roam freely. With a bit of luck, we might even spot the elusive leopard or a cheetah on the hunt.

DAY 4

Into the Heart of the Kalahari & an Authentic Khomani San Experience

With another exciting day ahead, we enjoy breakfast before setting off northward into the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, this time venturing toward Nossob

As we navigate the park’s rugged 4×4 trails, we keep our eyes peeled for lions, cheetahs, jackals, and large raptor birds soaring overhead.

DAY 5

Farewell to the Kalahari

After a hearty breakfast, we pack up our gear and begin our journey back towards Upington, taking in the last breathtaking views of the Kalahari. Along the way, we make time for a final coffee stop and reflect on the unforgettable memories made over the past few days—the rugged 4×4 trails, the incredible wildlife sightings, the warm camaraderie, and the magic of the Kgalagadi.

Upon reaching Upington, it’s time for farewells, but not goodbye—just until next time when we embark on another epic adventure together!
