Booking Terms

1.1 Booking Confirmation
All bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit, unless otherwise stated.
The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the departure date.
Bookings made within 15 days of departure require full payment upon confirmation.


1.2 Payment Methods
Payments can be made via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or any other approved method specified on your invoice.
All international transfer fees are the responsibility of the client.

1.3 Cancellation Policy
• A written cancellation of a scheduled tour booking is required, and it is not effective until “Why not
Africa Tours” receives and acknowledges the written cancellation. The tour price, activity package,
and pre/post tour services all include cancellation costs.
• There is no cancellation fee for tours cancelled more than 60 days before the departure date.
•If a client cancels a booking 60 days or less before the tours' departure date for any reason
(excluding death or hospitalization), the client must pay a cancellation charge. The cancellation
penalty is determined by considering the type of the booking, the amount of notice of cancellation,
and the realistic capacity to recruit other clients. Dependent on the considerations, the client may
forfeit the following percentages of the arranged tour fee due to a no-show, based on the number of
days between receipt of the cancellation notification and the date of departure.:
30 Days: No fee applies
10 - 29 Days: 75% of the tour price is held as cancellation
0 - 09 Days: 90% of the tour price is held as cancellation The Company shall be entitled to apply any
portion of the non-refundable deposit paid by the client toward any cancellation penalty payable in
terms hereof.
• The company (Why not Africa Tours) maintains the right to postpone or cancel the tour at any time
and for any reason. In this case, the company will provide the customer a refund for the tour (which
includes, for the avoidance of doubt, the non-refundable deposit). It is stated that the Company's
liability to the Client shall be limited to the aforementioned tour fee refund and that the Company
shall not be liable for any damages of any kind, regardless of how they may arise.
• The customer understands that a minimum number of 2, 4 or 8 passengers must be booked for the
excursion (including the client, depending on which tour was booked ie. Self-drive min 2 pax –
guided self-drive, min 4 pax – group tour, min 8 pax – overland Nomad group tour, min 4 pax ). The
client shall not (for the avoidance of doubt) have any claim for damages against the Company in the
event that the minimum booking is not met, and the Company reserves the right to cancel the tour
and return the tour payment to the client.
