Namaqua Eco Trail 7 Day Tour

The Namaqua 4x4 Eco Trail is a seven-day self-drive adventure along the Orange River, designed for experienced off-roaders. Starting at Okiep Country Hotel, the journey traverses rugged terrain and remote desert landscapes, with wild camping at scenic riverbanks like Kamgab, Ramansdrift, and Hartbeesmond.

Travelers must be fully self-sufficient, as most camps lack facilities. Highlights include cultural villages, Klein Pella’s date farm, and river rafting at Red Rock Camp. The tour emphasizes eco-friendly travel, self-reliance, and deep connection with nature. It concludes with heartfelt farewells and optional guidance for those continuing toward the Kgalagadi or beyond. Meals are mostly self-provided.
